Is a deposit required?

In most cases, a deposit is required, but it can be placed using a credit card.

What options do I have if my insurance does not cover rented equipment?

The renter must have insurance for the equipment. If the renter can’t provide proof of insurance, we can put the renter in contact with insurance companies that will insure the equipment for the duration of the rental.

What happens if I need an extra day to use the equipment?

Upon notification of a request to extend the term of the lease, SurvTech Leasing will determine if the request can be accommodated. If the term can be extended, we will do so at the applicable daily rate. If not, the equipment must be returned per the original agreement, and any failure to return the equipment on time will result in the overage fees equal to the daily rate + 50%.

What accessories are included with the equipment?

This is dependent on the equipment being rented, please review the specific item rental page for details about what is included. For questions contact SurvTech Leasing, and a qualified technician will provide the details of what is included with each rental and what may be available at an additional charge.

Can I get training?

Yes, you can get training. If the training is over the phone, there is a standard rate for training. If you require onsite training, the rate shall be the same but with the additional travel costs (hotel, airplane ticket, rental car, and meals). Our base in person training package includes two hours of technician time. They can assist with rental equipment setup and safe usage. Any additional training shall be additional.

How does shipping work?

Due to the size and configuration of the equipment we rent, there cannot be a standard shipping price. SurvTech Leasing will present options for shipping, including UPS, FedEx, and Freight, with costs. Renters can also utilize their own shipping company, but remember the rental is from the day the equipment leaves the office until the day it is received back, so overnight or 2-day would be the most cost-effective. The cost of the shipping shall be added to the rental cost.  The renter is responsible for paying all shipping costs.
